Car AC not cooling? Common causes in UAE heat
By the Jawwy Garage team · 2 October 2026
Why a car AC blows warm air in the UAE, what you can check yourself, and what an AC service at Jawwy Garage involves.
The most common causes
Low refrigerant gas, usually from a small leak, is the top reason an AC stops cooling. Other causes include a failing compressor or clutch, a blocked condenser at the front of the car, a weak cooling fan, or a clogged cabin filter that limits airflow.
What you can check yourself
Listen for the compressor clicking on when you switch the AC on. Check whether the radiator fans run with the AC on. If airflow from the vents is weak even on full fan, the cabin filter may be blocked. Dust and sand in the UAE make this common.
What our AC service includes
We inspect the system, test pressures, look for leaks, and recharge the gas if needed. An AC service usually takes 2–3 hours. We confirm the price and any repairs before starting.
